Depending on the mood I want to create in my portraits, I deliberately tilt my camera, so that pillars that are supposed to be vertical become slanted.
This has become a recent obsession and I think here’s why:
1. The feeling of breaking rules in photography is exciting - there are rules, but there also aren’t.
2. Slanted lines suggest movement - they make portraits appear less static .
3. It depicts depth in a subtle way
Well, I should probably curb my little obsession so that my clients get normal (no pun intended) shots too 😂
